When I'm roused up by cries at 3am and looking at Viking, sleeping cozily and soundly (on a new plush mattress, may I add), I am actually cursing him and his worthless nipples.
Fizzgig will be 3 this week. Why do only my boobs bring her comfort? I feel your pain. I recall once she tried to latch onto poor hairy nipple hubbie...she was not pleased!
And to briefly toot my own horn, NIPT results back: no trisomies and its a girl. Whew... Such relief as I cross over into 2nd trimester :) Riding high after mini anatomy scan showed two hemispheres... I hope your sweet muffin continues those well timed smiles. I know a few hours after Fizzgig was born she was wide awake looking at the world so what mama doesn't sit up exhausted and watch it with her? Big Bunny was sound asleep but not us. Checking out this weird place called earth ;)
Viking was the beneficiary of some bad juju last night, when the baby refused to sleep. likely because he had her at bedtime and totally missed her sleep cues, keeping her up in bright kitchen with the lights on because HE wanted to drink a beer with the radio on. grrr.
